Chat & Chew
The Chat & Chew ministry was started in 1993 or 1994 during the first year of the Family Life Center. The first gathering was held in the Family Life center and it was quickly learned that the group needed to be in a much smaller facility. We operated for several years out of the Epworth Classroom until the new Fellowship Memorial Banquet Room was completed. this room is now our home on the first Monday of each month with the exception of July and August. We are closed during these months because of the heat.
We serve approximately 28 to 30 Senior ladies each month. We set out tables for 35 which covers our "Helpers".
This ministry is a great example of communication. Each part of our group knows what the other part is doing and the approximate number of ladies that will be served. Chat & Chew is funded on the most part by those that prepare and serve the food. We do not have a budget. We have nice memorial gifts that we place in the office to be designated for "Chat & Chew".
God is in the midst of all we do. Praise God for those who help and those who come.
