NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS, plans for the new year, wanting to start 2012 differently, and any other term we use to begin 2012 is probably already on a spiral in a direction we did not plan! How do we make this year different?

BY SEEKING GOD’S WILL and NOT OUR OWN WAY!

If we turn to God, seeking the will of our Heavenly Father, EVERYTHING will be different! Trusting God by faith to lead us through every circumstance, following the “WAY,TRUTH,LIFE” can and will make 2012 Different!

Make only one resolution - TO FOLLOW GOD IN ALL OUR WAYS!

I remember as a child, my mom would go to the grocery store about once every two weeks. The minute she would walk in the door with all the sacks of groceries, I would ask, “WHAT DID YOU BRING ME?”

She would always play a game with me as her normal answer was “NOTHING!” But I always knew better! Inside one of those sacks would be a special surprise of either a big old candy bar, a toy, or something she had picked up especially for me. I kept bugging her until finally she would with a big smile reach deep in the sack and out it would come. My joy and excitement would go through the roof! Mom would smile and go on putting the rest of her purchases away, but yet smiling with the same joy I was feeling. (yes, my mom spoiled me rotten!)

But what does that kind of expectation and that kind of joy say about CHRISTMAS as God has given us the greatest surprise gift of all times...Jesus Christ...born as a baby...just for you...to make life full of joy and excitement as now you are free from sin, blessed by God’s gift of mercy and grace, and living a life that is abundant and free of worry!

How will you celebrate this Christmas? JOIN US ON CHRISTMAS EVE TO HEAR THE REST OF THIS GREAT STORY entitled “WHAT DID YOU BRING ME?”

Bring friends, family, and neighbors to either the 6:00pm or 8:00pm services that will have you just as excited about Christmas as I was about mom’s special surprise!

Keith

Saw this that a Pastor friend of mine wrote…Thought it worth repeating!
Your loving and praying pastor,
Keith
.....................................................................

Permission Granted
I have faults, short-comings, quirks, failures, oddities, annoyances, inconsistencies, immaturities, insecurities and disappointments. Oh, and I’m a big sinner too. There, I said it, and I hereby grant you permission to say it about me as well. That’s right, you can talk about me; you can even talk about me even behind my back. You’re likely going to do it anyway and probably already have (if you know me). That’s what people do; they talk about people. Now I don’t want to unduly surprise you, but folks are talking about you as well. They do it a lot. You’re an interesting person, and we want to figure you out; we want to learn from you, even from your shortcomings. In some ways (perhaps), we want to be more like you. In other ways, we hope to avoid being like you. This is one of the reasons God puts us in families, churches and communities. We learn a lot from one another; positively and negatively.

Now, with that permission granted, I do have a few guidelines for your conversation about me. As you talk about my sins (and other deficiencies), please do not sin yourself.
1.	Speak the truth, but speak it in love (Eph. 4:15).
2.	Make sure your criticisms are constructive (Eph. 4:29).
3.	If you’re angry with me, come see me soon (Eph. 4:26), I don’t want the devil to get between us and hurt our relationship. You can talk to me about me.
4.	Allow yourself no gossip, giving or receiving (1 Tim. 5:13).
5.	Guard your heart, remember grace, mercy and kindness, and grant me the benefit of the doubt (Eph. 4:31-32).
Rev Randy Booth

If you are in a “Fog of Life” and cannot seem to find the clear sunlight of where or what is next in your life, STOP-DROP-PRAY- SEEK-KNOW!

STOP: stop looking inward and start looking upward! God is big enough to handle whatever you have on your mind. This world tells us to “grab our boot straps and pull” telling us we can fix our own problems without seeking any help from God or anyone else! WRONG ANSWER! Christ was the ultimate example of one who reached out to others and asked them to reach back for the help they needed in any circumstance.

DROP- That’s where the DROP begins as we drop to our knees in a humble position to seek the help of our Creator and the one who gave his life so we could have life abundantly! Jesus is waiting for your call!

PRAY- seeking Jesus and the comfort of an all knowing, all wise, all loving Heavenly Father will bring you to a point of understanding that it is not really all about you, but all about what God has planned through you! As the old joke says, “It is a local call...dial up Jesus TODAY!”

SEEK- seek the things of the world and you will find disappointment, heart ache, and pain. Seek the things of God, and all the world begins to take on a totally different look, priorities change, people change, and most of all you begin to change into what you were created to be form the beginning!

KNOW- and lastly, KNOW that God loves you and will be there right beside you all the way- through ‘thick and thin’ to assure you, bless you and comfort you in whatever the world throw at you!

GOD IS BIG ENOUGH to handle ANYTHING in you life!
