Ministries of the Church
We have several classes for all ages and all kinds. Whether it be Sunday School, evening small groups, or community based programs, we have a little something for everyone!
Youth Ministries
UNITED METHODIST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
UM YF Sundays - Our youth meet every sunday evening of the month.
1st and 3rd Sunday - They meet at 4:30pm in the sanctuary for a time of worship.
Followed by a snack supper served at 5:30pm.
2nd Sunday - This Sunday we meet in the Sr. High room where we then split up into
groups of 2 or 3 and lead ourselves in a devotional.
4th Sunday - This Sunday we come together just to have fun! Once a month we leave
the church grounds to play games.
5th Sunday - This Sunday is mission Sunday. We find local mission work that we can
get involved into. We either go to homeless shelters or nursing homes to provide
comfort and love.
Wednesday Night Wisdom - On Wednesday our Youth gets together to first eat dinner together in the Family Life Center, and then to open the Word of God and get wisdom from its teachings. We then head over to Starbucks to fellowship! Join us for the fun!
YOUTH MISSION TRIPS
First United Methodist Church provides a yearly mission trip that teens can participate in.
This year our youth will be staying in Ennis helping folks in our own Jerusalem! Adults are encouraged to come as well to help chaperon. The cost per person this year is $250, which will include all meals, lodging, t-shirt, and all materials needed for each project.
